Metrolink makeover reaches another milestone

28 October 2010

The ongoing implementation of Hemisphere’s new brand for Metrolink has reached another milestone with the rebranding of all the stops on the Eccles line.

Part of the ongoing programme of modernising Manchester's iconic Metrolink tram system, the latest part of the programme has involved the updating of all signage and wayfinding at 11 stops on the Eccles line between Cornbrook and the Eccles terminus. This phase has also included the branding of the new Metrolink stop at Media City UK – the first new stop to be built on the system since 2003.

Hemisphere created Metrolink’s striking new identity scheme in 2009 and the new branding has already been rolled out across the city centre and Altrincham line stops. Next up is the refurbishment of 9 stops on the Bury line, including a major refurbishment of the transport interchange at Bury itself.
