International publishing award for Prime

11 December 2009

The APA International Customer Publishing Awards celebrate outstanding editorialised content and Prime was named as the 'clear winner' in the Best Public Sector/Government Category, beating off competition from organisations including the British Army's Recruiting Group, the Serious Organised Crime Agency, the Training and Development Agency for Schools and Serco.

Launched in 2007, Prime is an insider's guide to Northwest culture aimed at potential visitors to the region and is designed and written to be both irreverent and fresh. NWDA research shows that Prime influenced over 850,000 visits to the region with over 200,000 of those directly generated by the magazine, equating to an estimated visitor spend of £67.5 million.

The awards judges were 'bowled over' by the results, saying that Prime demonstrated "the best evidence of effectiveness by miles" and "taken with the powerful brand synergy and innovative design, Prime is a clear winner."
