Manchester’s most effective design company?

23 October 2009

It’s official – Hemisphere is Manchester’s most effective design company.

After winning a silver award last night (22 Oct) at the Design Business Association’s prestigious Design Effectiveness Awards, we have become the only design agency in Manchester to win two awards since the scheme was launched 20 years ago.

Our silver award came in the Corporate identity category for our work on the rebranding of Manchester Central, the city’s main conference venues, previously known as GMEX and MICC. Last year Hemisphere won a DBA Design Effectiveness Award in the Consumer Print category for Prime, the magazine it created for the North West Development Agency.

The Design Effectiveness Awards are highly prized because they are so much more than just a beauty parade. They are judged on tangible proof of the commercial outcomes of our creative input and therefore we feel they are the real benchmark of what we’ve achieved. We know from our clients’ feedback that it’s our ability to deliver real results that they value us for, and this second award from the DBA makes it official.
